"Kill Your Signal, Not Your Tone."
Pro-Level Stutter and Mute Effects With a Single Press

  • A killswitch lets you turn silence into an actual part of your phrasing. With this non-LED momentary switch, you get a fast, clean mute right under your picking hand, so you can carve out tight stutters, chopped chords, and sudden drops without touching your volume knob or pedals.

One press and your signal disappears on command. Let go and your sound snaps back in, ready for the next riff, accent, or fill. It feels immediate and percussive, almost like adding a small rhythmic trigger to your guitar that responds exactly when you do.

The low-profile button is easy to find by feel, and the three finish options – Stealth Black, Spartan Steel, and Vintage Gold – make it simple to match your hardware or create a deliberate contrast. The subtle sword-and-laurel crest gives the switch a bit of character without shouting for attention on the top of the guitar.

Each unit ships pre-wired with leads, so you or your tech can focus on clean routing and solid joints instead of decoding terminals. No LEDs, no batteries, just a reliable mechanical mute built for players who want the effect in its simplest, most focused form.

  • This non-LED killswitch does one job: when you press the button, your guitar signal mutes; when you release it, your sound returns immediately. Electrically, it is a momentary mute that briefly sends your output signal to ground at the jack, giving the signal a safe path away from the amp while the button is held.

There is no LED circuit in this model, so you are only wiring a single pair of switch leads:

    • One wire to tip / hot

    • One wire to sleeve / ground

The two wires have no polarity, so there is no “wrong way around” for the kill function itself.

As with any hard mute at the output stage, this style of switch is best suited to high-gain, distorted, or heavily processed tones, where the mute feels tight and any small mechanical noise is naturally buried in the mix. On very clean tones at high volume, you may hear a bit of popping as the signal cuts in and out. That behavior is normal for this kind of circuit and is not a defect.

If you ever find the switch seems to work “backwards” (sound only when pressed), it is almost always a wiring configuration issue at the jack. Rewiring the switch in parallel at the jack rather than in series, or following the non-LED diagram on the install page, will correct that behavior.

  • This non-LED killswitch is designed to be as universal as possible across modern guitars.

    Electronics compatibility

    • Works with passive humbuckers and single coils

    • Works with active pickups and preamps (EMG, Fishman Fluence, etc.) as long as you treat it as a jack-level mute, not something spliced into the raw pickup leads

    • No batteries or LED wiring required

The wiring layout stays the same in all of these cases:

    • One lead to sleeve / ground

    • One lead to tip / hot at the output jack (or the equivalent points on a volume pot, if you are wiring it there instead of directly at the jack)

For most installs, a jack-first approach is the cleanest and easiest to troubleshoot: identify tip and sleeve with a multimeter if needed, then wire the switch across those two points.

    Physical fit

    • All Iron Age killswitches use a 16 mm mounting hole

    • You can:

      • Drill a fresh 16 mm hole in a clear area of the top, or

      • Enlarge an existing pot hole if you are replacing a control you do not use

If you need the correct drill size, there are dedicated 16 mm drill bits available separately, so you do not have to guess or fight with an undersized hole.

For general wiring layout, diagrams, and jack-first examples, see the How To Install page.

    • Three finishes to match your hardware
Available in Stealth Black, Spartan Steel, and Vintage Gold, this non-LED killswitch is designed to blend with common hardware colors so it looks intentional on both modern builds and classic-inspired instruments.

    • Etched Iron Age crest
Each button carries a clean, laser-etched Sword & Laurel logo, giving the switch a distinct identity without overpowering the guitar’s original aesthetic.

    • Tactile, confident action
The slightly raised dome and firm, crisp click make it easy to feel each press and release without looking down. That feedback matters when you are timing fast stutters or integrating the switch into tight rhythmic parts.

    • Pre-wired for faster installs
Each switch ships with pre-soldered leads, so you or your tech can focus on neat routing and solid connections instead of decoding bare lugs. Two wires, no polarity, straightforward wiring at the jack.

    • Built for real-world use
The switch hardware is rated for hundreds of thousands of presses, chosen to handle repeated stage use, rehearsals, and travel. This is meant to live on a working instrument, not stay in a case.

    • Universal mounting size
A 16 mm mounting diameter keeps it consistent with other Iron Age killswitches and makes layout planning simple across multiple guitars or future upgrades.

    • What’s included

      • 1× premium non-LED guitar killswitch, pre-wired

      • 1× rubber gasket to protect your guitar’s finish under the switch

      • Complimentary Iron Age picks

      • Access to install guides, FAQs, and support if you need help during the process

If you need a correct-size drill bit for a fresh install, you can pick up the dedicated 16 mm drill bit separately so you are not guessing on hole size.

  • Every Iron Age killswitch is backed by a 365-day functional warranty. If this switch fails under normal use within the first year, I replace it. That’s the baseline: we stand behind what we ship, and if the part is at fault, you get a fresh one.

Most issues that come up are install-related, so I’ll usually start with a quick wiring check or ask for a cavity/jack photo to troubleshoot the circuit with you. If it turns out to be a defective switch rather than the install, I send a replacement instead of giving you the runaround.

For change-of-mind situations, standard 30-day returns and exchanges apply to eligible, non-custom items as long as they’re still in mint condition. If you ever have a question about whether something is covered, reach out with your order number and what you’re seeing, and I’ll look at the facts and handle it on the merits.

Nice looking. Not very sturdy. Easy to install.
Size: 40x7 2Pcs, Color: White, Size: 40x7 2Pcs, Color: White
Update: The shelf slopes at about a 45° angle when you put anything more than about a pound on the outside edge of it. Perfectly fine up against the wall. Just seems like the braces inside aren't long enough to really give the stability needed. Bracket is nice and tight against the wall. Had to add braces underneath to hold a small plant, a photo and a small container. Wa sloping more and more each week The shelves look great and we're pretty easy to install. They have a single bracket that is very easy to mount to the wall and get nice and level.. The downside is that the bracket isn't long enough to go between studs. This seems like a pretty simple oversight. I mean why wouldn't you make it long enough to go stud to stud? Secondly and maybe more fatally the bars that go inside the shelf to support them coming out from the wall are significantly shorter than the depth of the shelf. Unfortunately this means the shelf is only supported the first few inches coming out from the wall so there is the potential for a slight lean forward.. The anchors they send are trash. Cheap soft plastic that just tears and bends with a screwdriver. I would suggest spending $2 and grabbing your own anchors from Ace or home Depot. The shelves are essentially made of a high grade cardboard kind of wood. They are not going to support much weight or last for years and years however there incredibly affordable and look nice and easy to install. Long as your expectations are right you'll be happy.

Worth it if you're a figure/doll collector!
Color: A. Black Board & Black Brackets, Number Of Shelves: 4, Size: 16-inch, Color: A. Black Board & Black Brackets, Number Of Shelves: 4, Size: 16-inch
I ordered these shelves to display my figures and dolls, and I love the way they look! I ordered 2 sets of the 4 pack in black with black hardware. After looking at reviews, I took the jump and bought them and don't regret it! TL;DR: Listing is accurate, don't use the paper measurement thingy, quality is what you'd expect for the price, doesn't come pre-drilled, easy enough to put together, over all worth it if you're looking for smaller, decent quality, decent price shelves especially if you display figures or dolls. 1. Listing: They are accurate to the measurements! They're only 5.5 inches deep, so there isn't much (if at all) any room for layering. They do feel small, but the listing is accurate!! Mine are paired next to each other to create a "longer" shelf. DO NOT use the paper measurement thingy. Another review mentioned it was un-even, and after holding it to mine, yeah, it was off. I'd highly recommend a stud finder, small leveler, and a white gel pen or marker to mark where to drill if you do. 2. Assembling & Mounting: The shelves didn't come with pre-drilled holes for the mounting options because it was easy enough to screw into. I will warn you that the small screws only came with a singular extra, so be careful about losing them in case it's the same for you... I'd highly recommend doing this on a FLAT surface. I stood the shelves on the side that would be flat against the wall and set the brackets against it. I put one screw in on each side (both brackets have 1 screw to hold them where I want) then I laid it on its top and tightened and added the other screw. I may have done more work than needed, but none of mine are leaning forward or backward super far. I used the "load bearing" mount simply because I like the look but if you intend to put books, I would do the "no drop" design and possibly get some other L brackets for more support since books can get heavy. PLAN WHERE YOU WANT THE BRACKETS if you intend on doing the "load bearing" design or adding any more brackets. 4. Quality: I kind of expected the wood to be a bit thicker/more sturdy feeling, but upon realizing they didn't come pre-drilled, it made more sense. THEY CHIP AND SCRATCH EASILY. If you're like me and don't really care as long as you cant see/don't notice it, then this isn't any concern but they may come damaged cause some of our mail couriers aren't the best. If you stick them in the corner like I did, please be careful about it slipping! I accidentally dropped the second one from a 21-inch TV stand after adding brackets, and the corner chipped (yes, I measured). The hardware is standard screw quality, and the brackets could be better. After reading the broken bracket reviews plus the price, I honestly wasn't expecting much, but they aren't too bad! You can always replace them with another one you like! 5. Overall: I'd say these are worth the price and I see why "customers usually keep this item"! They were easy enough to mount, even if you aren't the handiest man out there. I'd definitely recommend these if you're looking to display anime figures or dolls like I do! They're nice for adding vertical space without sticking out of the wall too much! Definitely good for smaller spaces! I'm very happy with this product and will more than likely return to this listing if I want some decent and affordable shelving! Thank you for reading my review, Im usually hesitant to buy online so I hope it helps you decide if you wanna buy these shelves as well! (Also, in case anyone is wondering the layout, the longest shelf will be 1, the middle length will be 2, the shortest length will be 3. It's the last image of the review!)
